They took it twice. The first time not 5 minutes after the physical agility test, then after about 45 mins. The second was only because I asked the Dr. if there was any way to stay onsite and take care of the issue. So today I am back at home and spending more money to go see a family practitioner for the issue.
On the way to CRE,......probably

If you had been a student at the SLC school, they would have just had you pay 20 bucks and given you meds, and tested you the next day. however the chiropractor that pretends to be a doc at the texas facility cant even write prescriptions. If anyone has any medical issues, they really need to take care of them first before coming to Texas. CVS has a DOT physical. while youd still have to take one when you get here, it is a DOT card.

Yep, take care of that medical stuff. I had to have a procedure in the middle of school. Two weeks off and back to graduate. Then the fun began.
Physical for Roehl, letter from Dr., documents from Roehl to be filled out, more letters from Dr., more documents for him to fill out.
New medical card issued and am picking up the last paperwork today.
Three weeks since I saw the Dr. for Roehl's physical and hopefully they will give me a start date now.
I too had to start taking b.p. med earlier this year and WANT to know where my body is at and WANT to take the meds I need not only to live a long life but to be healthy and able to take this responsibility serious.
Seeing "managed with medication" on these letters from my Dr. don't bother me at all. -
Well today I got into a truck, and shifted for the first time. It started out well enough, but I got a bit nervous and flubbed it. The instuctor assured me that I'd be fine. After the 15 minutes of truck time in an unusually long day, the water was shut off for some reason , and it was about 95/100. The toilets weren't working , and with about 200 students, you can all imagine how nice that's been. Still though, we've been outside waiting in the heat for a shuttle back to the hotel for several hours. All I can think is " does management totally not care about their students, or what? This is pretty ridiculous. Let's hope this is not the norm.

well I passed my cdl road test on friday. now the real training will begin. after some time waiting for a trainer to be assigned, then I'll be out on the interstates, turning and earning. aty least turning anyhow. i believe thbe pay during training is 64 a day. after amonth of that, there's a few days hometime and a driver evaluation, then its off to phase 2 for upto 60 days. during that time ill be getting paid about 12 cents per mile. then probably a final eval, and training is over. alot of ppl are talking about going lease operator right away because then you dont have to go through all of phase 2. for my safety and everyone elses, im not going to try to opt out of any training. Id like to go company dedicated out of dc or baltimore, but thats my thoughts just as of today. who knows how Ill feel once i have actual experience.

Each of these loads had from 10 to 25 stops, and I was paid by the mile and per stop. Since I ran the same areas each trip, I got to know all my customers, and if early, or running late, they would unload me.
I said all that to say this. This was in the early part of 1976, and the rate I got was 11cpm and $2.00 per drop, and this was one of, if not the lowest paying, driving job in the area.
It's great to see that driver pay and hometime has advanced so much in the 35 1/2 years since that time. -
