You get your CDL when you complete the school. You may still owe Swift money, but you have the CDL.

How will you go to another company with no proof that you completed the training at swift ?

If you are just planning on using swift to get your CDL you might as well just get your CDL through a 3rd party school or whatever company you plan on working for. The benefit of going through swift to get your CDL is that you will get reimbursed for half of the school in 13 months and the full amount in 26 months. If you don't stay with swift and you have to pay the full amount, why go through swift in the first place?

That's a great point. It's not like Swift is the cheapest school out there. I'd think if someone was trying to get a job with someone other than Swift there are certainly better options available for school that are less expensive. Then again it could be that someone got cold feet during the school and decided to opt for going elsewhere, but seems to me that the "plan" wasn't really thought out before jumping in.

Swift Academy isn't the cheapest, but it's far from the most expensive. The zero interest loan is nice. The Richmond Academy does a really good job.

FYI, I was given a certification of completion when I completed the Academy.

$40 flat anytime u haul a container empty or loaded. Plus mileage pay on top of that thats our payscale here in the Carolinas. I like to haul at least 3 or more boxes and 450- 500 miles daily to be happy.
