Even then it wouldn’t make any difference. Canada has an extradition treaty with the US so all Oregon State Police have to do is talk to US marshals and from there the Feds will put it in the extradition request to the RCMP. Since the driver has yet to turn themselves in, the case would be upgraded from felony hit-and-run to willful flight to avoid prosecution!

I would be surprised if Jeb Transport “sells out” the driver because now the truck involved can also be seized as evidence in a crime!

My God that's terrifying. I have nightmares about being that truck and somehow not knowing... I don't know if it's possible. I'm only into year 2 driving. But irrational or not that chills me to the core....

OSP would like to thank the media & public for their assistance. The driver of the involved CMV has been identified as Marlo Griffin (70) of Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada. Charges of Failure to Perform Duties of a Driver and Assault 4 will be forwarded to the Union County DA for consideration. *

on Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at 5:47 P.M., OSP Troopers responded to an unknown injury, Hit and Run crash on Interstate 84 near milepost 277. Responding Troopers located a Mazda 626 , operated by Robert Floyd (56) of North Powder, in the median.

Floyd had minor injuries. Floyd stated that he was passing a CMV (Commercial Motor Vehicle) when it changed lanes in to him causing him to lose control and roll several times before coming to a stop in the median.

An uninvolved CMV had dash camera going and recorded the incident. The involved CMV has unknown Ontario Canada license plates. OSP is requesting anyone who may have information regarding the involved CMV or the operator to contact the OSP Dispatch at 1-800-442-2068 or *OSP and reference case SP-20-112219.
