Yes I feel like reefer might be a better fit since I just quit a job teaching at a technical college how to repair reefer units lol. Also thought it would be nice to get away from them for awhile. I figure some reefer time will be in my future.

Hey, that's smart of you. Reefer repair is a great backup plan if running the roads proves not be be for you.

I use to work with a World War II vet, that in his 80s, his hand shake would double down most guys. Reminded me of my Dad who was a Second War vet as well. Both tough as nails.

Anyways, he had a saying, “in life, stay loose and spring loaded for change.”

Trucking is full of that. Be ready or be another statistic.

Like the in the movie Stripes, “lighten up Francis.”

Like @Ridgeline and @Moose1958 said, it happens. When I was starting my driving career I rode the old Grey dog 8 hours to an orientation. The next morning left the hotel, and at the terminal was told that it would be the following week. Multiple people cancelled last minute, so I got 2 more rides on their dime on the dog.

It's easy to get frustrated during the hiring process. There are normally multiple parties involved in planning, and sometimes people get lost in the mix.
