Even if he WAS inspected, if the only thing they got him for was overweight, there are no CSA points awarded for being overwieght.

Moreover if inspected and no violations noted inspection becomes a positive for driver and company CSA wise. Weird but true.

    ouch.

A little bit heavy on his tin star are we? he he he.. (Sorry Ohio, I just have to TEASE....)

No inspection? No other tickets? Just pay it and move on. I never heard a word over my heavy tickets no matter how steep and hefty they got sometimes. The company certainly yelled but they paid it and I paid mine.

If Tickets like that for just overweight is really bad, I would be jailed as a criminal of the century long ago.

Although there is a little tidbit I wonder about. Just what road were you on? Im pretty sure you sometimes have to be on something pretty light in order to get into and out of some of these places that ship 18 wheelers...

I would complain to the news that he fat shamed you and that he refused to let you use a road that you paid taxes on.

    Or maybe call the Marshalls?

First of all, if it’s an over gross ticket that is points. I’d fight it and get it knocked down to bad headlight or something. Over axle, just pay it and roll.

It is not CSA points even if inspected. It also is not MVR points in every state.

You have to watch these. I got a ticket in NY for not having a HUT sticker by a full grown on the interstate, not DOT. I wasn't required to have one but the cop wrote the ticket anyway. I petitioned the court via mail and the case was dismissed. They sent me a letter stating that as well. A year later I see an overweight ticket violation in NY on my PSP. After researching it, they entered the wrong information in BUT they refuse to remove it! I did the DATAQ process, giving them the necessary proof and everything yet it remains there regardless. They'll find a way to get it on your PSP record, driver.

If he was in violation of a street weight limit then they can give you a csa violation for violation of local laws or failure to obey traffic control device since he blew past a sign that said he wasn't allowed. Those do carry points.

Generally speaking this is the CSA point breakdown. How many points and the code section. Then you MUST be inspected by a CVSA/MCSAP/DOT certified officer filling out the north american inspection form for them to be awarded.
