I own my own trk/trailer im leased to a great company an times are hard ive been at this along time an have made some bad decisions an with todays econ.u cant make many of them..GOT FAMILY..INSURANCE..insurance is a killer..good luck to all new guys get into them company trucks check it out this isnt for everybody..actually its a lonley lifestyle..thx good luck

Pesonally, I wouldn't generally recommend going with an O/O for a "just graduated" newbie. Nor would I, were I still an O/O, really consider hiring such. Y'see an O/O has alot thinner profit margin than a company, so your "mistakes" make alot more of an effect to him.
Now I realize you're all p and vinegar and you're "gonna be the best truck driver ever" (been there) but you are gonna do ooopsies. You will tear up stuff like clutches, brakes, etc aaaand you're far more likely to put more than a few dings in the bodywork than a more experienced driver. That's why you wind up getting the "less than new" stuff right off the bat.
It ain't about what you want to drive, it's what you're capiable of driving at first. Ya gots to "learn and earn" that picture book truck.Love2shift Thanks this. -

Thanks truckers for the advise. After reading both sides l decided to go as a comoany driver for Swift. My mentor is an O/O so l am getting a months worth of insight hands on by an o/o.
Thanks again for your help, l feel as if l made the right decision. However, Swift does have a lease program oott ohhh..
