Care to tell me what the MCS-150 is? After Google searching, I'm confused on this. Says if a safety permit is required, I'd renew this every 24 months. How do I know if I need a safety permit or is this something ALL owner operators need?

You’re doing a lease purchase and you don’t have authority. You don’t have to worry about MCS-150.

IF you apply for or have a MC or USDOT number this is one of the forms you need to file.
Form MCS-150 and Instructions - Motor Carrier Identification Report | FMCSA (dot.gov)
MCS-150 is the form used to file the Biennial update if you have your own authority (MC)
IF you lease your truck to another company you don't need to file this paperwork.
    Good luck.

    Chinatown Thanks this.
