I have same engine in a t680 50000 miles never added more than a1/2 gallon to 40000, however I did just start to have oil pressure light problems, shop mech. Said that it has happened to a few of the trucks in fleet. He was not consered .After watching it comes on at start up,if you shut down when it's on then restart it goes away, at least on mine. Good luck

Good luck am i missing something ? 40000. miles between oil change ? i thought going 15000 between oil change was excessive .
Recommended or not I would never go 40000 on first oil change .. I do 20000 in my mx13 doesn't use a drop cheap insurance if you ask me .. I was at a Quebec kW and the mechanic said that some guys who were running the 40000 like factory recommends are now having issues AFTER warranty expired .. Don't forget to do the 40000 mile valve adjustment or they might deny future claims
Well I won't never have that problem. as I'm on a lease in 3 years the truck will be sitting in a junk yard somewhere probably. and 40,000 is short for a pm. Peterbilt recommends 60,000 miles between changes so technically I'm doing nothing wrong.
