A little late, but yes. At 1300, it'll take you about 30 minutes to get thru ATL. Wait past 1500 and good luck.
Beware of weekend construction on your return trip back toward Murrayville. There's a lot on the west side. Tune in 750AM or 95.5FM to get good traffic updates on WSB. Google maps with traffic turned on is also a good idea. Don't even think of the downtown connector. Besides the risk of a ticket (no thru trucks), there's a bunch of events downtown this weekend.
Here's the list filtered to what will matter to you.
Weekend Construction and Events:
Cobb Co.: Bridge work I-20/eb before and after Six Flags Pkwy. in 2 lanes from 9:00 p.m. Friday 9:00 p.m. Saturday.
Cobb/Fulton Co.: Bridge work I-20/wb from I-285 to Six Flags in a lane from 7:00 a.m. 8:00 p.m. Sunday.
Cobb Co.: Paving Cobb Pkwy/nb at the River from 7:00 a.m. noon; then southbound from noon 6:00 p.m. Saturday.
DeKalb Co.: Sign work I-285 north & westbound between Glenwood Rd. and Covington Hwy. from 9:00 p.m. Friday 9:00 p.m. Saturday.
Fulton Co.: Sign work I-285 north & southbound around Washington Rd. in 2 lanes both directions from 9:00 p.m. Friday 5:00 a.m. Monday.
Fulton Co.: Construction Ga-400/sb between I-285 and Glenridge Connector from 7:00 a.m. 8:00 p.m. Sunday.
Gwinnett Co.: Diverging Diamond work I-85/nb between Pleasantdale Rd. and Jimmy Carter Blvd. in the HOT lane from 9:00 p.m. Friday 5:00 a.m. Monday.
Coweta Co.: Construction I-85/nb from south of Hwy. 34 to Sharpsburg McCollum Rd. in the right lane from 8:00 p.m. Friday 5:00 p.m. Monday.

Almost forgot. When you leave Murrayville headed to Denver, taking GA-53 over to I-75 takes just as long as GA-400 all the way to I-285 and over. Except when there's traffic problems on the second route. About the only risk on the GA-53 route is getting stuck behind a farm tractor or something. Kind of curvy/narrow and a couple of little grades east of Dawsonville, but not too bad. I'd rather do that than traffic.
ncmickey Thanks this. -

I may take my break tonight in Murrayville after I get the trailer hooked up and get out of town early....instead of getting out tonight and eating into my hrs for tomorrow.....try to stay on a day schedule.....
