What do i need, in order to dispatch(find loads) the truck. I bought the truck with a friend of mine. He has the CDL and he's driving all the time. I would like to help by looking for loads and such. Right now, we don't have our own MC and DOT and we drive under our dispatch authority(dot&mc). So, I was wondering, what would i need to start helping with loads/dispatch?
P.S. Thanks "RedForeman" for the kind answer -

Takes a lot of time and effort to get solid rates from CHR. I've had good success with them over the years and rate them at the top of my list. You have to put up with a lot of rejection in dealing with them. But if you're in the right spot and they need you they will pay what they have to. I haul a lot of freight for them over the course of a year's time.
Some good, some really good, some not so much so. It just depends on the needs in the moment. It really helps out a lot if you can establish a good working relationship with a few people there. I have an office I work with a person on first shift and another in the same branch on second shift. This office has good freight of their own but I will go to them cross booking loads that belong to other branch offices.
That's where you can run into unknowns (cross booking other offices loads) and headache loads. But the guys I work with will always give me every bit of customer info they have when I'm looking at cross booking a load and with their own freight it's always good info there. And they take care of the little things if you do the same. -
