But I assume that you have to wait for a years worth of experience that way... vs company drive for 6 months and just get some cheap beater from them and drive the other 6 months then jump into a new truck... work the system dont let it work you...

Eh, frankly when freight is cheap in one place, it's probably cheap everywhere. It's February after all. And besides, I am willing to trade off some income for the comfort of just choosing loads in an app instead of calling brokers and trying to "form relationships" i.e. kiss ###. I am not good at that, I'm more comfortable being a number in an impartial computer. Avoiding office politics is one of the main reasons I became a driver.

Been driving 48 dry van OTR for 3 years now, decent driving record. Pretty sure I qualify on that side.

The question I have for you guys who leased before is do they let you double and triple up on payments... get that truck paid off faster... or how about large down payments...

    Down payment is set.

You won't make enough on choice to afford double let alone triple payments.

But they do allow it correct? That was my question. I didnt plan on leasing a truck but now that i found out i can get into IC faster this way i have no problem buying a 600k truck for 40-50k and paying it off in that 6 months... those payments come out to about 700 or less a week when doing a 2year payment plan... x2 is one year... and then just pay it off in 6months is very doable... your saying i cant net 2k per week on choice? common man...

You'll never get a truck that meets the new rules package for 50K......

You're right I'm wrong as is everyone else.

Nobody nets 2k every week as a lease driver on choice as it is today and is home every week.

I wish the down payment wasnt set... that kinda stinks... i could easily throw 40k down... Let alone 10 or 20k... But as long as they let me throw it on their a wekk after i drive off the lot then whats the difference... its all about the fine print tho and how interest is assessed...
