This was my thought as well. It was a ploy to get rid of all the older, non-California compliant rigs, since they've been pushing that for a while. They needed the older trucks out to get their 100% compliance, but they figured this would be a good way to do so without ever mentioning the word "emissions" since the folks that never had a need to go to California could have made a legitimate objection.

Yes, and now that you know my flawed decision making, it should be obvious why I am a truck driver.

Just do what I saw an IC doing last week at Gary - wrap it in aluminum foil.

Anyone that works for a mega carrier knows that a certain percentage of the drivers are going to be complete morons, IC or not.

Personally I used to run that Carrier load from Cleveland to Indianapolis pretty regularly and every single driver I ran into at Cleveland (about 3 or 4 times) were foreigners with POS centuries and Volvo that spoke a few words of English. It was a tight yard and these guys just didn't have any common sense on how to maneuver their truck around either. One guy in particular passed me 3 times on I71 and I70 doing 70-75mph yet I still got to Indianapolis before him doing 65 the whole way. I mean what the hell was this guy doing on the way there? Lol

If you don't want to deal with the fact that there are always going to be a significant number of morons ruining accounts for everyone else it's probably a good idea to get your own authority so you don't have to even deal with it or just accept the fact that Schneider is going to use drivers that are brain dead.

Perfect. Couldn't of said it better myself. Remove the problem drivers instead of the loads.

Well today is my 3 month anniversary of leaving the Choice program. ... So far I have not searched one minute on a load board for loads. I have not spent 1 minute looking for a trailer company gave me a brand new one. The lowest I have pulled for is 1.87 a mile best 6.00. 70% Reefer. I am making between 2 t.5 to 3 times more than in the Patch. I work when I want. Yep there's some weird hours on the reefer side but we do mom and pop stuff. Best of all not one person has asked me to take a test, see if I can still drive, etc. I actually ran an a aggressive drive right to the guard rail a few weeks ago. (I know I shouldn't have but he had it coming trust me). Bottom line I don't think I could be happier!!!

    Be Safe Out There
