If I were 50 and not 60, I might go full O/O. But I just don’t want the hassle. I know LS won’t be without issues, but I’m ready to deal with someone else’s BS. I’ve had enough of Schneider’s.

If you're leased to LS why do you need your authority?
I'm in the middle of trying to decide to get my authority and leave LS. I don't have any desire to play the spot market game with my own authority so I would be going after a direct customer or two. Can't get them? Good question. I don't know...
From my initial assessment I could build a fleet at LS or on my own and make plenty of money either way.
I'm not one of those that thinks LS takes too much money. First of all, I knew the money split before I signed up so if I have an issue with it then it's my problem and second, as long as I'm getting what I want I don't care how much the other people get. I don't have to get it all.
For a 1 truck guy that may or may not grow a fleet I just haven't seen enough evidence yet that getting my own numbers is worth it.
Tough decision... Good luck with yours. -
if things don’t work out I would hit the ground running. And not be a new entrant. I’ve had the numbers before that program even started. And my insurance is dirt cheap. Of course no loss runs for 20 years will do it…..
Im pretty sure I will with draw my application. They did say if I had more than 1 truck I could keep my numbers. But that doesn’t interest me either……otherwise they want some form signed saying that it’s been canceled……RStewart, 48Packard and Speed_Drums Thank this. -
Do they say that a second truck has to have a driver? You might be able to work around it if not.Cat sdp Thanks this.

Absolutely. Got a week off planned the first of October to visit my mom in her new place in CA. I’m hoping to weave that into my schedule somehow no matter where I am at that time. If I could do it between gigs, that’d be the ideal scenario.

Because I can still do it even with my own numbers. That makes it a little more tempting knowing that I've already got good work lined up to get me started.CaptainDaveG Thanks this.
