It's funny. I've learned tons of WHAT to do here, and tons of NOT to do from the loud mouths at the OCs. Sometimes I have to,wonder if those guys are deliberately trying to sabotage the other guys listening to them.
Driver complains about having to haul .70 cpm freight. A chest beater bawls out that he needs to go to such and such and he can haul $1 per mile freight all day. Other guys asks his operating cost and how can he pay his bills. Chest beater replies that he doesn't care about his operating cost as long he has money in the bank and beer in the fridge. Other guy slumps his shoulders and walks away. Chest beater stares at his back, smirks, and goes to involve himself in another conversation.

    Me: WTH just happened? Lol

I've always been appreciative of the info granted here. I know I haven't been the best poster, and I do try to limit my mouth.

Speaking of helping a brotha out...anybody know if that popular plant in Maxton NC will let you drop early. Have an all day window to drop there Wednesday and will be there by 1800 on Tuesday and based off all the legendary storie I prefer not to lay over there.

Don't know I only pulled out of that place once. If you don't have a appointment number I would go for it.

As was stated..we can't post what those loads pay.
Big Orange is watching..and we don't want them to whizz in the kool-aid.
I've run Dover to Tunk quite a bit..it's a nice step off for me to better lanes.
It's heavy but easy..Tunk is a hassle getting into and out of..but it is the price of doing business.

Which brings us to being competitive..we're all in business for ourselves.
So we as a bunch are closed mouthed for a reason..no one here has a problem helping newbies out.
But we can't lay it at your feet..you'll have to learn by doing..just like we did.
If you have the drive to succeed..you will.
If not..you'll be bad mouthing Big Orange with the rest of the failures.
Sure people fail for reasons beyond their control..but 9 times out of 10 it's them.

    Something to think about..
