But if you do like 3,800 miles a week and add in your extras and....yeah talked to a company driver who's company advertises driver salaries of $70K per year, and the reason he's looking at my company, lack of miles.

Man trucking companies should be looked at by the FTC for all of the recruiting lies they tell lol

There is key phrase in those ads.

It says "up to" in small print.

Sure it is. Just skip your truck payments and don't pay your fuel bill ;)

"Yes but 0.36 a mile sucks lol, I know I can do the owner op thing and be successful, I'm just trying to figure out where I can get the truck I want and make the most I possibly can"

You need at least 12 months verifiable experience before even to be considered for the program.
Plus other requirements. It is much harder now than before.
I still can't get in. And I am working for Schneider...

I was informed by my SFI Rep the other day in Charlotte that they are being very picky now who they approved to come on to this program because so many have come on and within 2 months turn the truck back yet so they're trying to but the brakes on that mess for the most part

I DID apply and I was offered a position, thank-you. I'm just relaying what was told to me by my recruiter.

Congratulations! Schneider National is proud to extend you a conditional offer to lease your truck with one of the Schneider National, Inc. motor carrier subsidiaries ("Schneider").

You must meet certain Federal Truth-in-Leasing and Department of Transportation (DOT) criteria, and other applicable lease criteria. Pursuant to certain regulations, Schneider will complete a Driver Qualification File, conduct a background check of your driving record, employment history, and review your DOT physical examination results, DOT alcohol/drug screen results, and Schneider Hair Follicle Drug Screen results to ensure they are satisfactory. You must also pass a Schneider driving test and written skills test, and your truck will have to meet certain Schneider and DOT inspection standards and criteria. Finally, you must sign an Independent Contactor Operating Agreement (ICOA) with Schneider.

Information about your lease opportunity (as of April 22, 2016):

    Work/Account Name: Van Truckload OTR

    Pay: Percentage

We look forward to your long and successful lease with us. The information provided in this message will help provide a smooth transition to your new home at Schneider. If you have any questions, please contact your recruiter, xxxx xxxx at 920-592-6xxx.

    Thank you,
    Schneider Owner Operator Recruiting
