They just add a page to the lease and make you sign it....,

No signum - lease canceled .

If they order them that way and you lease from them we don't own trucks anyway.

They have collision mitigation systems on them what makes us think cameras won't be in the future.

I don't know......actually, I think my truck has had some sort of camera from day one......and here's why.....

A lady cut me off one time going through an intersection in Austin. I was going forward on the green, she was making a right on red. I had to slam on the brakes to keep from hitting her. It caused a "critical event", a load shift, and a phone call.
So, they say call. So I call and they asked me what happened, and I told them. Their response was, "oh, you mean the maroon Impala?" I said, "that's the one".

So, honestly, at the end of the day, I personally have no problem whatsoever with a forward facing camera on my truck; frankly, I encourage it.
I drive safe and well. I'm not God's gift to the trucking industry by any means, but I have no apologies to make to anyone. If you want to record how I drive, please do. So the next time some jackazz pulls a funky stunt, there'll be pictures to prove I did what was right, safe and legal.

    My .02 cents

Hard to argue that. Pretty good 2 cents best I can tell.

If your truck has the annoying lane alert system, it has a camera

They could put a inwards facing camera on me for all I care. I can show them something that would scar them for life.

No. But what I do off duty and is on video is on them. And I know it only records driving time. Yeah right. After all the regulations and insurance requirements who even cares anymore. I just throw my hands up and whatever. What they choose to look at is on them. Never even considered what you suggested I meant. Gross:D
