The one and only time I got arrested, as soon as the state trooper stepped inside doorway, I put my hands in air. He told me to put them down. I then walked outside and put hands behind back and told him to cuff me. He laughed and was hesitant at first. He said “I don’t know if you’ve done anything wrong yet”

I told him there’s broken glass, blood, a brick and I’ve been drinking.....you’ll find out soon enough. LOL

Reason I wanted cuffed is the individual I was going after was coming outside and I was a wee bit sober enough to realize I would put my hands on him even with trooper standing there if I wasn’t cuffed.

Cost me my clean record, reputation and about $5000. Also embarrassed my family.

Maybe so, but the only people that'll be impressed are the rest of the lunch counter crowd and some rookies who believe everything they hear.

This story reminds me a lot of an issue I was involved in gosh at least 20 years ago. I had just got home the night before and was still a bit mentally exhausted. A friend called me and asked me if I could take him down to get his son out of the Tift County Georgia jail. To save time and a thread hijack I will only say this young man had listened to a truck stop attorney and paid for it dearly. Took almost all day to come up with the paperwork to do a property bond from my hometown. I can't remember how much the whole thing cost, but it was not cheap. The guy did 6 months and close to 2 years on probation.

Edited to add the most important point. NEVER hit a cop!
