That is correct, but your post with "anti-masking"made it look like all the states follow the same Federal rules when it comes to tickets, points and how to handle that

They do. Once convicted it cannot be changed. Period.
You seem to not understand what a conviction is....
Getting a citation is not a conviction, it's simply a citation.

Oh, I see what kind of misunderstanding going on here.
I think that OP just got a ticket and does not want points to get on his record.
You on the other side, think that OP has already paid the fine and accepted the citation.

Michigan allows for CDL holders to get tickets changed to non moving violations with no points before being convicted.
Some other states, including TN from my earlier example, do not! If you got a ticket there, you are screwed, there is no mechanism to have your points removed besides citation being completely dismissed.

    ZVar and Tkkrnurse99 Thank this.

This driver has a Canadian CDL.so It depends on the provincial regs that issued the cdl.
I don't think Mich has any jurisdiction over his license or points.
In ''most provinces 10 mph 15 kph doesn't involve points.

    Tkkrnurse99 and ZVar Thank this.
