Foresters are great my cousin has a newer one and an old classic one. Looks like new still. Old thing has a factory back up camera. Way ahead of others, hard to beat. Old Challengers also a favorite. Had a 70 SE model when I was 17 . Had the small rear window very rare. All the old ones look good to me now.

 

Well ok, at least your last post sounds better.....not like flat out insulting everyone that has a Lonestar like your original post.

I don't like the new KW's but I don't shoot them down. To each his own.
I wanted to like Western Star too but unfortunately mine has made me hateful. But some guys are having good luck with theirs.

 

Ya, but think about it......they took a chance and thought they had it figured out. If the Maxxforce would have worked they would have been hero's. I know many people would have bought them just so they wouldn't have to bother with DEF fluid.
Manitoulin Transport even bought a whole lot of them to run the ice roads because their SCR Detroits kept freezing up. If the Maxx had worked out they would have sold millions.

 

The Asian cars all look like beetles now.

So why not a truck that’s a locust?

 

Idk, i think the Lonestars are ugly as sin. On top of that, they are an Intertrashional. That’s two strikes right there.

It’s nothing more than a big piece of plastic junk. You want something that looks old school....they didn’t build the old stuff with cheap Chinese plastic.

Whoever designed the lonestar should have been fired and whoever approved it for sale should Be hanging out with Jimmy Hoffa right about now.

I personally don’t really like the look of any of the newer aero cabs, but the londstar takes the cake.


There is way to much plastic and junk in all new trucks today, even 389’s & W9’s. What’s wrong with a metal dash and some simplicity. I don’t need a 10” tv screen in my dashboard.

A properly restored and maintained old ride is and will always be superior to any of today’s plastic junk.

 

Not sure what international was thinking with the lone star but the 9900 is the best looking truck on the road

 

Well yea they're all plastic, everything is anymore, I'm just saying the lone star is better looking than any of the aero turds.

 

If I still needed a new tractor it would be a Lonestar, 9900i or an HX520.

 

I think the HX620 is a nice looking truck. I'm thinking that was the old CAT truck.
