What kind of truck is it I have a w900 mine pops when I turn empty or loaded went ahead and had the springs, bushings, pins, and shackles replaced and it still does it.Went to another mechanic and he showed me the that the pins are ribbed and its normal for them to do that just from the set of the axle.

Mechanic and everyone on this forum said it's because driver had the full lockers engaged...

Truck was fully checked everything is tight, no damages and plenty grease. Diff is not locked and fifth wheel moved back forward.

I still hear a popping sound when making a tight turn with it and not much speed....

    Turns fine

Wheel bearings in steer perhaps? Or alingment issue? Spring hangers even? (Bolt at end of leaf...)

Hell... some old trucks used to have hubs that seal, you pull rubber cap off stick finger (When cooled off...) and check level of oil in them.

Only thing I can think of is spring hangers on steer axle. Bushings are sliding back and forth.

    x1Heavy and bowhunter67 Thank this.

Are you sure it's coming from the front end? We had a truck that everyone swore it was a steer issue, bc it would pop all the time when turning, it turned out to be a bushing in the drive axle and when it popped it would resonate through the frame and you would feel it in the steering wheel and would act like a steer axle bushing froze up.

That's quite a bushing. How were the bearing ring on that axle end?

Took it for a spin today again and it seems like the problem has somewhat disappeared....

Once in a while it might make a pop sound but not like before pop pop pop pop.... hahaha

We have a new fun problem with this truck now..
