Not all costs are passed onto the US consumer, in fact so far there has been very little proof of increased prices. Companies do eat a lot of the costs, companies also move their facilities OUT of China. Some back to the US while some to other countries with low cost of labor and no tariffs.

Besides I’d rather pay a little more for products and see Made in USA rather then literally EVERYTHING saying made in China. I’m tired of it. If tax cuts help offset the extra costs while also stimulating the economy, even better.

 

Everyone got tax cuts across the board that actually pays taxes. The bottom 50% don’t even pay anything. He will show a chart that shows most went to the top 1% in dollars. Well duh! The top 1% deals in more money, it doesn’t mean they were treated better then the rest percentage wise. Besides 1%’is create jobs! People are actually making more money for once, and paying less out of their check but oooooh those evil 1%’rs!

Maybe we should aspire to be 1%’r instead of always trying to tear them down.

If one wants to get upset then atleast focus on the 1 percent of the 1 percent! You “only” have to make like 400k to become 1 percent.

Most companies want to sell globally not just in the USA. It’s two way street, I have a lot of customers nervous about trade war and how it’s gonna affect them going forward. It’s hard to find a product and a company that is solely made in the USA and want to stick with US market only. Last time I checked deficit has gone up and I don’t see it getting any better when you give tax breaks to super rich. Trump was gloating about stock market and now it had worst Christmas ever

 

It's called reality.. you also forget about the rest of the taxes that keeps our govt running. Not just income tax but sales tax. Use tax, property tax ect..ect.. the bottom 50% as you claim still pay that and pay a whole hell lot more of it than anyone else..


You can aspire to be a 1% but how many truck drivers do you know who earn $422k a year? That's the low guy on the 1%er list. Thats not having asets equaling that much but earns that much..

I'm not anti rich guy or anti 1% I'm pro reality.. 100 people will buy 100 cars, will register 100 cars, will fuel 100 cars.. 1 rich guy might buy 5 cars... which will grow the econemy the 100 guys spending or the 1?


The middle class is what built this country and we have polititions who are doing everything possible to destroy the middle class. Give real tax cuts to the middle class if you want to grow the econemy not to the rich guys who are already rich..

You grow by bringing the next group up... not pushing them down from the top..

 

Too bad for the millions of Americans who have gotten raises or bonuses. They are just “crumbs” to the left. I know for a fact every single person in my company is making more then a year ago. Most be $5000 per year. And even though they are paying less tax percentage, overall more taxes are being collected.

Sounds like a win win to me. They sure are all happy and it was an even more Merry Christmas then ever before. You can see that by the record sales in retail and across amazon. Consumer confidence is still record highs and unemployment record lows.

But go ahead, keep beating the Bernie playbooks drum and make wealthy people out to be evil greedy people. No chance they just busted their ###, took chances, brought people up along the way, paid a ton of taxes, and eventually made it. Shame on them and shame on our President for putting America first.

 

Their making more because freight is up and companies are forced to pay more to keep you.. Not because of tax cuts... it's basic free market..

Show me a single trucking major company that gave out tax cut bonuses or raises because of the tax cuts... They gave raises because the freight was strong and too many companies are looking for drivers.

That's all good for this year.. what happens next year if we do end up in a recession?
