How were all the 4-way stops during the "final mile"(s)? No really good way into that place...

I mentioned in the other thread I couldn’t pick them up because I couldn’t figure out how to use my binders, ended up back in Nashville at the terminal and finished up a day in load securement again; I think I’m getting the hang of it. One problem I had was the coils were close to the edge of the trailer on both sides, close enough where I couldn’t hook my binders up without going inside the coil on top of the edge protector

There are a few ways around that. One of which is too run the chain around the spool but hook it to another one somewhere else.

The rest depends on the securement ratings of your stake pockets and what not.

And I always keep enough snap binders handy for when ive got wide coils. They are better when you don't have as much room for a binder.

Then the other option for wide coils is to load it shotgun style if the place will allow it. Or if it must be suicide. Off set it to one side to give your chains more room, not ideal but itll give you room for binders on one side anyway.

The tarp is a "smoke tarp"

It prevents hot soot from your stacks from hitting (and melting) the insulation, frequently you won't need it if you have a "grass burner" exhaust setup
