It was actually Auburndale but I wasn’t sure if anyone knew where that was. The other day when I was up in Watertown I just came back down 16 to jump on the pike in Newton
I grew up in Newtonville, NY…

Glad to see there was plenty of securement on that load

Technically it's both. :) It helps to hold the tarp tight to the coil to prevent the ballooning of the tarp, and it adds 5,400 to 10,800 lbs of additional securement, but this only really applies to a shotgun, on a suicide coil, it's not restraining anything but the tarp. Since the suicide needs restraint from the front and the back to restrain it, the strap across the top could tip it to one side or the other when tightening the strap making it unstable, and as far as I remember, strapping a suicide was advised against. :)
Additionally I seem to remember something about having to have that strap over shotgun coils, and if it's on the outside, there is no doubt when going through a scale house that they were on. :)
    Yep, here it is:
    I knew I developed that madness for a reason. :) It's required.
In addition, if you look at my Avatar, you'll see one of my loads proudly tarped and using two 4 in straps front and back. I left them visible for the above reason, that if DOT couldn't see it, they'd make you untarp it to prove you had it on. :) I don't do things twice if I can avoid it. :) Has nothing to do with being lazy by putting them on the outside, just trying to avoid unnecessary work. :)

It was right at 14’ on the deck, 22” deck height loaded. Not for the faint of heart loading and unloading. Only 3” of the tires are on the deck, everything is on the out riggers. So, if you’ve got short outrigger boards like I do, you have to crib up the joints…

yeah I gotcha. It’s always a slow process for me as well. I don’t have a agriculture trailer. If I did it would make things a lot less stressful. I have to do the same with my rigger boards. I appreciate the info hand

Hard at it with my summer job. I won't be posting too many pics because running to stores 4 nights a week is pretty ho hum. Toughest part is staying awake every night
