Do you mean after all the time in the hospital?
Yes, feeling fine. Because of 2 kidney stone procedures, the doctor left a stent in. The stent was my problem, it didn’t agree with my riding around in a truck. Funny cuz I went through the same stuff about 3 years ago but I wasn’t working at the time so the stent gave me no problems. Now that the stent is gone I guess you can say I’m in good shape for the shape I’m in.
    Thanks for asking…

It was more you agreed to take a legal load. Thought perhaps you might not be feeling top shelf. Still, always good to know a fellow driver is in good health. Switzerland for Christmas?

Hahaha I guess I read too much into your question…short beams were just next in the sequence. I think we have long ones again Monday.
No Switzerland until next year about the same time, although I think it might be a shorter vacation. My daughter who usually travels with us is starting a new job in the spring so she probably won’t be able to get as much time off and I can’t imagine that my wife will put up with just me alone for that long…
Next vacations will be 2 weeks in December and 2 weeks in March, both in the Caribbean

Just for my edification, I thought the pieces had to be touching or at least within an inch or so to get away with a single strap/chain?

Less than 5’ long, 1 tie down is sufficient

Less than 5 foot long and under 1,100 pounds. However this is a bit confusing to me because flatbedders will haul pallets of bagged product weighing over the 1,100 pounds with one strap and DOT apparently turn a blind eye to it.
