Pain in the ##### load made me nervous. Was very unstable.
-
is that more than one piece stacked? maybe if you would of strapped each piece as they stack it vs. just trying to strap it all together???DieselDisciple and Offender Thank this.
-
Each stack was 4 frames. Each stack had raggedy arse saddles halfarse bolted together. I turned down the first load due to instability and poor placement of the saddles. I could have, should have, taken the time to strap each peice. If I was that motivated tho, I would not be a trucker.
This was the first load. They couldn't understand why I didn't want to take it.

The Challenger and Sleepy68 Thank this. -
You dont want to be a trucker with blood on your hands, out of a job or with a pile of citations brother. If you know its secured right, you go on your merry way, if you have doubts you have to stop and check the load every chance you get and end up taking longer than if it would have been secured right to begin with. A load shift and a wrecker bill will ruin that run really quick.
I did that once, and a 4 hr drive turned into what seemed an eternity, never again
Be safe brother.
TJB15, DieselDisciple, CanadianVaquero and 3 others Thank this. -
No pics of that for us?
And I am a very safe person. I have multiple safety awards from Halliburton. Years of service with no incidents awards. Etc. I've seen my friends drop windmill blades or wedge a load between bridge gaurdrails etc. I do not want to be that guy.
Those stacks are generator frames for the generator that goes in the nacelle section of a windmill. They are hauled exactly like that many times a week. Just by drivers with a little more hair on their chest than I. -
no pics boss man, just the memory of my underwear crawling up where they shouldnt and thanking god when that trip was over.
Didnt mean anything by my post, wasnt trying to poke at ya or nothing. -
I'm so super easy going. No issues Sir. Once my supervisor said I swing a hammer like I'm wearing a purse. Next day I showed up ready to swing. Anyways I'm getting off topic, sorry i shh now.
