They are all warped. I'll find a lumber yard in the morning. It's almost midnight here. I'll redo it in daylight, I was working while they worked on the truck.

A load like that I'd put a couple of wrappers on it also. Bind the heck out of it to make it one solid object.

Like chewy said, hardwood is best, but you won't find it in most lumber yards, probably have to get it from a mill. I carry treated pine, but did score 4 new oak 4x4's last week from a new customer. I'm gonna try to get 4 more of those next time I load there and get rid of the treated stuff.

When my boards get bad they magically break once I'm 600 mile from the yard. My company is slowly learning not to give me crap equipment.

They gave me a used strap when I asked for some new ones. I told them I bet this straps no good. They told me to take it anyway. First load I throw it and there's a quarter inch cut about 3 feet from the hook. Next truckstop they paid premium for a new strap.

Shoot treated 4X4s are around 18 bucks each at lowes. That's why you see so many landscape timbers.

I threw 2 choke chains, and 6 over the top. I tightened the choke chains first, then the over top ones. I'll retighten in the morn now that it should have settled in.
    Thanks!
