With their endless stream of new recruits, if's not like they'll miss it.

I'd say by now you're way better off. :)

@Chewy352, how are you liking the auto and the rest of the new truck?

What's funny is watching Chewy back it up with auto.. plus the spread. He starts back, ok nice and easy . pauses a bit to make sure things are good hits the throttle wait 1 minute trans engages he starts backing again. Stop check yep then wait for transmission to kick in
He has more patience than me with that
    auto....

Dye Guardian and Chewy352 Thank this.

Hate the auto 99% of the time. The tractor is nice. It has lots of storage and an auto start so it will maintain the batteries itself instead of me having to wake up in the middle of the night. I absolutely love not having to tarp so the trailer makes the auto shift worth it. I'm getting 7 to 8 mpg now after changing the way I was driving. The boss had told me to just hold the throttle to the floor getting up to speed. So I did for the first few weeks and was only getting 6 to 7 mpg. Now I ease her up to speed. All in I'm pretty happy.

You should see me back it up a hill. Bout wanna set her on fire then. Back up a little. Let off the throttle to slow down a little. Opps too much rolls forward a little. Back up some more. Rinse and repeat

I was pulling into one of or yards the other day. Pull up to the gate beside the card reader. Wave card ok all good, gate starts to open. Alrighty lets idle on in there. Start to move and then PUFF PUFF PUFF PUFF PUFF the traction control going crazy while it grabs and slips going over a medium sized pothole on the dirt lot at the gate. Can't just gently ease out a clutch in low gear, nope the auto has to get those wheels rolling!

Maybe that doesn't sound so bad but seriously all the little things like that are what pisses me off enough to hate it.

Besides, any back that you don't hit anything is a good back.
