You might have seen me going in to drop off paperwork from my last load, with a COD check (rare thing). I was hussling to get the load to Midland.

 

By the way, my favorite truck stop in Midland, the one that always had parking available 24/7? It's packed. No more parking at 6:30 pm.

Lots of bulk trucks and flatbeds. Oil is hopping.

 

I'm in Midland too. THe J at the 138 has been full for an hour or two now.

 

Yeeks! Now I have to start doing trip planning and stuff!

 

Back into the trainer's seat today, we've started hiring again so I've got someone fresh out of school. The kid is 19, really eager to work, great driver (7 weeks behind the wheel and he's already floating like a pro) and I have high hopes for his future with us. He did some Super-B stuff last week without issue, then he goes and pulls this for 60 miles without trouble:



Fairly busy day, worked around in the yard near the end, transferring this thing to a step deck:



He does a really great job of picking stuff up quickly, but still asks lots of questions if he needs help. Amazed that some parents still raise their kids right these days.

 

You ever get in a bind for parking in Midland, let me know. There's a place I know of that has room.

 

It's all good, we don't start having to do e-logs until August...

 

I think that propeller might get you there, you might need more than a 5 speed transmission though
