Was wondering if they do them. I'm in the process of getting pre-hires through Trainco Truck School so I hopefully can get WIA funds for training. Trainco didn't have apps for me to fill out as they said they are all online. Can you get a pre-hire direct from Schneider by filling out an app online even though you haven't started school yet? They're my preferred 1st choice for carriers. I would probably be doing OTR.

it should be possible. One way to find out for sure is to call and speak with a recruiter, but it seems a few guys ere have had troule getting through to a live person. SO the next best thing would be to fill out the app and wait for the call. When I filled mine out , within two days I was called.
Company is going through a software change for our Qcomm system.Think most hands on deck with the issues that have risen from that.

Good luck. best bet is to fill out apps for 2-3 positions then pick once you get the call. Thats what I did. I was still in schol whenI filled them out. the good news is , fill out the info once and it transfers to any position you click on!!

They'll hire from any school that is approved by them. I went to a private CDL school and got my license before being hired by Schneider.

Yes they do. There's at least 2-3 daycabs in the Indy Yard that say CDL training on them.

If you go through their school they have you sign a 12 month contract though. If you leave the company before those 3 months they send you a $3000 bill for the cost of the schooling.

If you stay for the full 12 months you owe them nothing for the CDL training.

If you go to a school besides the SNI one they will reimburse the cost. $150 a month starting 30 days after hire.

Cool , thanks. Yeah, I actually have pre-hires already from Star, Valley, and USXpress. Yeah, as far as I know SNI got rid of their own schooling division a few years ago, but they do reimburse as far as I've been led to believe.

true, the do. however the fine print is , its 30 days AFTER you've finished sqt's (skill qualifying tests) and are a solo driver. I was given the impression that it was 30 days after HIRE DATE. which to me was wehen I got my driver # and was starting to be paid by them.

I went to school in Nov. 2011, and Schneider just hired me, but I didn't even apply until AFTER I was finished with school, so the $150/mo wouldn't apply to me, right? Thanks
