I hope those other carriers are paying their drivers extra to drive those lighter trucks. Does anyone know if the tanker fleet has those lightweights too?

They seem to be acquiring a few at one location... looks like they're pulling heavier loads that require a lighter truck to stay legal.

What is the Speed difference bewteen the two? I no you get .05 more driving lightweight but are you making the same money as a "big" truck or less?

All company trucks are set yo the same speeds... there's no difference in that respect.

Can someone please explain the logic behind doing this? I can think of several reasons why it's a bad idea, but none why it should be done this way.

Don't have the slightest idea, except that the guy who comes up with this stuff must be a serious moron.
