I appreciate your comment but I was using my mos term because maybe there was somebody who was a vet could give me some advice on how to start off. Schools, companies, training etc it seems to me as if you were asking me was I was looking for a handout or something. Just looking for advice because I seen it was some positive information for truckers who have done this for years and want to show others how to get into the industry.
Try to look into state backed dept of labor grants to schools. On the other hand if you’re confident in your ability you can definitely get through a year no matter how bad it is with a mega carrier. Mom and pops have disadvantages that megas dont so dont get scared away from what you read here. I worked for two megas years back and they were both considered starter companies. I enjoyed both places and attitude will make you or break you

Being a 92 fox a (glorified fueler hooah) just teasing ya, you could well land a tanker job since you already have experience with the hoses, transfering fuel from hemmt to hemmt, so transitioning to civilian would be alot easier. You can also look LTL jobs such as Estes, Old Dominion, Averitt, Saia and FedEx. Those jobs are home everyday. Good luck and thank you for your service.
