I didn’t split the text up. The law is meant for traveling to and from firearm related activities not self defense

I feel if someone does end up needing a gun they’re probably sleeping in the truck. (I would hope they would set it up to be effective and not to follow a silly law) other wise a bad guy ends up with the gun)

The law ONLY applies to TRAVELING readers should realize that. If you’re staying in an anti gun state you’re not protected

    Edit:role play example.
I decide to take my firearm collection from Arizona up to Utah and travel through California and some other anti gun states. I must store the firearms and ammunition separately in locked containers. As long as I’m not staying in the anti gun state I’m protected even if my firearms are not registered in the states that require it, I’m protected even if I don’t have a firearm owner ID.

If decide to stay in an anti gun state (too an extent s lawyer would argue I wasent “traveling”) I’m no longer protected.

    Dino soar Thanks this.

So why do you have the weapon in your truck then, unless you're changing personal residence?

Bang, bang, shoot em' up sounds great. But in real life, it's gonna get you in more trouble than you ever hoped for.

Caught with a pistol- bang, felony.

Good luck with your truck driving career after that.

Sounds wonderful...until you have a home and a family that's invaded by some crack ### or worse.

You offer sound advice to the novice who wants to feel secure by toting a firearm. On the other hand, if someone wants to try to break into my truck, they're gonna have a very bad day.

I don’t carry a firearm, but I want those that do to have all the cards laid out for them.
If you’re in a state that has some common sense they won’t even confiscate the firearm if it’s a lawful shoot. I should know.
If you’re even 1/100000000th in the wrong tho expect to be arrested and booked and processed.

I only take my 30 and 10 in high traffic areas. Lots of witnesses cameras and light means really bad stuff is less likely to happen.
Mind your business and don’t involve yourself with trouble
Much more likely to avoid ever needing a firearm that way. Sure it’s not as “macho” but neither is crying in court
