I had a Local Cop pull Me over once for that. He was a Rookie, didn’t know any better. No tickets. He also asked why my trailer axle was so far forward. I explained sliding axles.Lol

    I've posted about this before.
Got stopped in the great state of Warshington for no rear tag.
Old company, like so many others, is running Indiana plates. Tractor only requires a front plate for them.
Penske (I believe it is Penske) driver at a truck stop I was yakking with said his company finally asked Indiana to give them a front AND BACK plate for their tractors since they were wasting so much time getting stopped for no rear plate.
Tried to talk my old company into doing that. LOL, they said its not a big deal.

Rubber mud flaps tend to flap a lot. I like the hard plastic ones. They’re very durable as long as you don’t bump them on a curb.

Same in Pa. Mine is so faded the one guy that Pa inspected my truck says I should probably get a new one. Thats Pa inspected, not dot. Just another rule here in Pa..yearly state inspection. Years back when my dad had trucks Pa would send him a new plate every year. He had a shed wall plastered with the old ones. Times have sure changed! Can anyone say "cheap cheap".

The problem with the Data Q system is that the appeals goes right back to the officer that wrote it. Do you think an officer will ever overturn his own written violation?

No, it doesn't. At least not in my case. The NDHP trooper that corrected my violation was a different one than the trooper who issued it.

Look up your state legislature. Look at sections 135 &136 on this example. Print it out and carry it with you, or take it to court with you if it goes that far.
