Questions that a company driver should ask a potential new company

    Throw out the list find a couple of drivers and ask then do any of the drivers retire. Then go and look them up in the FMCSR's.

    Here is my perspective as someone that interviews drivers for a small 7 truck operation. I want the driver to be a good fit for our company as well as our company be a good fit for the driver. Ask any questions you want when we meet. But please don't just email me a list of questions. Had that happen once, the applicant emailed a list of 87 (I counted) questions saying that he would consider setting up an interview only if we completely answered his questions. I sent him back a note saying we could discuss his concerns in person, but never heard from him again. Very specific questions like the actual measurements of cabinets, that sort of thing. I got the feeling he had been abused by a mega so I felt bad, but as a small operation I don't have the time to deal with that sort of neediness.
