Sounds like roll off is the job you wanted, good luck with it. It's great when you can find a balance that works.
Unfortunately not! I fortunately kept my start dates with the LTL places while I have the roll-off place a test drive. The work was easy and hours not terrible (basically 6a - 4:30p), bit the equipment was absolute junk. Some days I would start off in a truck, break down, slip to a second truck, break down, and then slip to a passenger seat to just help hook another guy up or something. There may be a decent job like this out there, bit my local terminal wasn't it. I'm set to start at R&L next week still. Working out my time at the trash place until then and then wishing the next guy in line good luck. Thanks for all of the feedback everyone...
At least you gave it a shot and if nothing else, can probably appreciate the LTL job more. I have yet to see a junky R&L truck so hopefully the breakdowns will be a thing of the past.
