R&L vs XPO vs Neither?

    Sounds like roll off is the job you wanted, good luck with it. It's great when you can find a balance that works.

    Unfortunately not! I fortunately kept my start dates with the LTL places while I have the roll-off place a test drive. The work was easy and hours not terrible (basically 6a - 4:30p), bit the equipment was absolute junk. Some days I would start off in a truck, break down, slip to a second truck, break down, and then slip to a passenger seat to just help hook another guy up or something.

    There may be a decent job like this out there, bit my local terminal wasn't it. I'm set to start at R&L next week still. Working out my time at the trash place until then and then wishing the next guy in line good luck.

    At least you gave it a shot and if nothing else, can probably appreciate the LTL job more. I have yet to see a junky R&L truck so hopefully the breakdowns will be a thing of the past.
