The drive by night companies have elogs in Russia that can be edited with a phone call to Vladimir and his band of Russian minions. people that don't care about regulations are called criminals. Last I checked criminals don't care about regulations because they do what they wanna do..
Wal-Mart and Swift and name your mega carrier here, are all a huge problem this Industry. They have the most power in getting laws changed, they have the biggest voices and lobbying power, yet they represent a minority of the industry.. Just because they hire tards every single day of the week that cant differentiate between their ### and a hole in the ground, doesn't mean that's how the rest of us are. Therefore they can keep their draconian laws for their own employed slaves and leave the rest of us alone to think for ourselves.
Rates are crashing and fuel to the moon!

It's not about Walmart problems it's about you guys crying over not being able to work more hours in a day. So you have to park the truck for a few hours because of a curfew? What's the problem there? Park the truck and wait it out.
Sirscrapntruckalot, Opus and gentleroger Thank this. -
Your problem isn't with the HOS - it's with the ease of getting an authority, it's with the ease of L/P fleeces, it's with 1099 employees, and most of all it's with the absolute joke of CDL testing. Any OD job should be priced to accommodate curfews and the HOS, if it's not then it's an over supply issue, not a regulatory one. Same thing with general freight, if a driver can't earn enough under the current HOS they're either lazy, incompetent, or competing against people not playing by the rules. We can fix the last one, but anyone who tries will be pilloried for enforcing draconian laws.REALITY098765 and rollin coal Thank this. -
It's a lot easier for some people to point fingers at some big companies they don't know anything about and talk #### on the internet about people they don't even know than it is to sit there and think to themselves, well maybe if I was being paid enough in the first place I wouldn't be stressing over losing a few hours of time here and there.

You don’t get any extra hours to run. So stop saying you do. All this does is allow some who say was stuck in a watermelon field for 4 hours to now stop a take a 6 hour break instead of having to take a 7 hour break.
He doesn’t magically get to work more. He gets to work his allotted 11/14. It’s no different than it used to be. I realize that was a long time ago and maybe y’all never worked under the old 8/10 rules. But this is just bringing back a part of that. A part which is huge for team trucks. Lots of those guys ran 5/5 splits. -
Wow. Advocating for more work for the same money. What kind of Kligon brain eraser have ya'll been under?
14 hours a day is not enough?

That happened to me some months ago with a 13 wide in Seattle, delivering a scale to a small warehouse company.. Was able to do my 8/2 split and park next to a bunch of homeless people in a warehouse district.. If I could've split that further, it would've been even less of a problemexhausted379, Constant Learner, Oxbow and 1 other person Thank this. -
The reason people walk all over us is because we let them.
Get that? The reason we are where we are is because we let it happen. WE did this.Speedy356, Sirscrapntruckalot, rollin coal and 4 others Thank this.
