I have been a Maize and Blue fan my whole life. Nice to hear about your HS football team. I know its a big deal for those kids to win and be able to play at Ford Field. (that stadium doesn't see many wins) LOL . I too, am ready for the challenge. It's been on my to do list for a number of years, I just let "life" get in the way and never took the plunge into a OTR career. (this is going to be my 2nd career) I am 45 years old, and figured that I will never be able to enjoy or move up in the job I have now. So why not do something that you have a passion for and get paid for it! I hope that you all have decent weather for training/driving.! Take care, and will keep in touch!

I really studied hard and aced my cdl a permit in the first try..now just to finish packing. $25 bucks and not to much trouble at the secretary of state. When i come back to Michigan with my Wisc CDL, im gonna have to pay another $50 to get my enhanced license back...lmao..i love michigan taxation.

Great job blue! Now comes the fun part of putting that knowledge to work in the "real" world. Gotta know it, but the actual driving is a lot more fun. Following your thread to see what I have to look forward to in the future; Roehl is one of my top two I am looking at.

I have heard great things about Millis also. Both Millis and Roehl are on the top of my list. Good luck and safe driving! -
i have a question, i start training next monday and i was wondering with having to bring a sleeping bag and all the clothes you need is a large suitcase frowned on or do they want you to have a like a smaller duffle bag

Well, arrived OK in Marshfield late this afternoon after driving through some pretty bad freezing rain/ice and later snow. Met goblue and Irishman and we're all rarin' to go for tomorrow (Monday) morning bright and early!
Hotel is nice, actually a bit nicer than I expected. The WiFi Internet here seems fine also, good enough to Skype with the wife anyway...at least right at the moment it's working well.
More as the week progresses...looking forward to doing this!Skydivedavec, goblue and Bigdubber Thank this. -
It was very cool to meet up with Techno and Irish here at the hotel. We all hung out for a while discussing the forthcoming mission. Marshfield seems like a very cool town so far. I would rate the hotel as just right so far. I understand we will get some homework so I guess I'm thinking of this room as an office with a bed. I really do appreciate this forum, meeting up with two other members going through this class a bit in advance is making things much more comfortable for me.
Bigdubber Thanks this. -
The hotel gets real old by the end of the second week. The third week i just didn't want to stay in the hotel room. Lots of good places to eat in Marshfield though. One thing i like about the town is always finding something good to eat. Nutz Deep has good food, though when in RDTC they have a rule of no booze. So if your at a bar eating I wouldn't get cought drinking. Lots of people in that town love to rat out the RDTC students.
I kinda thought the no booze on the evenings and weekends was kinda lame. but i always drove home for the weekends. I only lived 4 hours away so the weekends i ran to spend with my family.technoroom and goblue Thank this.
