Received my CDL but have not used it. It has been 1.5 years.

Well that is disappointing to hear, but not entirely unexpected. I think I will still apply to the other companies, but will add Western Express to the list as well.

Given my situation would I have a better chance applying to local companies? As in not OTR?

Generally speaking...no...you will not have a better chance with local vs OTR.

Note however...that McLane is local....& you would likely be home daily with that position.

If they hire you -- I hope you are in very good physical condition.

With food service delivery jobs -- you WILL need it.

Western Express?

Suggestion: Be an informed job searcher.

Do a forum search...using the forum search box, above...type in "Western Express"...& read some of the more recent threads/posts on the search results.

Then decide if WE is still a carrier you want to start out with learning the world of trucking....
