Ok I have a load on so this is critical. SB 210 low coolant level, engine temp high. Forced low idle.

This is a "new to me" trailer. I have no history on it. Smoke and a small amount of fluid coming from reservoir overflow tube.

Oil level is fine BUT there's another place to add oil. I dont know what that is. There's no dip stick. It looked bone dry. I added about a gallon of oil to it. Refilled the antifreeze which was only half full.

It's running now. Still smoking out of overflow tube. And it puked a bunch of antifreeze when I started it back up. No codes yet!!

So what is that other thing I added oil to and how full should it be.

Any other ideas welcome as to why it's over heating

Ok an update. Fan belt is very loose. Could that cause it to over heat. That's probably a dumb question.

Fan belt, runs up to the top mounted radiator.

    Could be tensioner.
Yes. It will cause the problems that you're seeing.

Sounds like you added oil at the timing cover cap.The dipstick is the cap beside the oil filter.Purging coolant is usually a sign of a bad head gasket. Is the coolant bottle black?
