So with little legal knowledge and from the sounds no personal experience, what's the point of the continued thoughts your having? Why not just forget about it?

I will never just forget about it. There are way too many myths quoted in these forums. I'm trying to be nice. However if you keep this up I will ask you to name this attorney so I can contact them.

So they post one time about something that happened 20 years ago and that makes them an alcoholic because they do not post again?

Rusty Trawler and HalpinUout Thank this.

I said a lot more in that post then just what you chose to cherry pick, and for the record I stand behind those words!

Not "Cherry Pick", but slandering someone for posting here and assuming how they live their life because of what they said happened 20 years ago.

Now I am where I can type. Those VR Keyboards while nice are slow and time consuming to use. I am what you see. I don't quote MYTHS and I don't ########. I have seen the other side of what happens when rookie drivers listen to that garbage spewed in the truck stops all across the Country. I have watched truckers lose cases in The South Fulton County State Courts, Dekalb County State Courts, And Atlanta City Courts and see their mouths open in surprise. You know why? They listened to that garbage about the Highways are federal and they can't legally ticket you for using restricted lanes or being inside the I 285 loop around Atlanta. I have a friend that today is retired whom used to be a deputy US Marshal in the Northern District of Georgia that used to tell me stories as he laughed his fool ### off about some poor trucker in trouble at some scale house and wants the Marshals to come close the scales down. When I see someone new (or an older person in a new nick) and their first post is a drug related question. What most are really asking is how can I circumvent something because I am a stoner or a sop drunk and want to be a trucker. I SEE IT I don't have to guess and I am 100% sure the majority in here do too. What really pisses me off is some ####### pops his mouth off defending said people and offering ways to beat it. It is called enabling and in the end all it does is cause the rookie trouble later on. Fighting these myths not only in truck stops AND terminals was bad enough but now I am starting to notice TTR is getting these people in it. When will people learn that the majority of these things being quoted are either an out and out myth or they have just enough truth in them to make the lie palatable. It stinks and as long as TTR admins don't ban me I plan to speak out and call ######## ########. It is what it is and I will not (just forget) about it or back down. You want to come in TTR and spew myths and other garbage I WILL call you on it.

Oh boy. My daddies cousins uncles brother was a deputy US Marshal. Lunch counter chatter at its best.

You think everything is a myth when it comes to the judicial system, apparently you are clueless in how the system works. Go sit in a court room and see all the plea deals that get worked dropping a more serious charge down to almost nothing.

I do still currently have my CDL. Thanks for your input. When I acquired this license in 2009,the recession was not treating truckers so kindly. Now that the need it greater for truckers,I want to start my career. I'd be willing to do anything to acquire the experience & make this my longterm job.

I wouldn't worry about it, keep applying. I had a DUI back in 84 when I was still in the Army. I took a 1st offenders plea which amounted to if I didn't get another in 5 years it would not be recorded as a conviction.

Whenever I fill out an application, I answer what they ask. Have you ever been convicted of a DUI? No. Have you ever been charged with a DUI? Yes.

Keep it simple and you should be fine.
