I personally wouldn’t consider “hiking trucks” as an enjoyable endeavor. Most places do not have a dedicated undecking facility requiring the “hiker” to make coordinations with towing company for truck to undeck. At all hours and weather conditions, while having to store away decking materials to be shipped back. Make flight arrangements and transportation to larger airports to get out of town and back home. A lot more than hopping in a set of trucks, driving there, parking them and flyin back home. Have seen many of these connections become a major PIA as you could imagine especially in big cities and bad weather.
Retired recently. Want to keep CDL valid and usable.
