Rope vs rubber tarp straps? Any tips and tricks?

    If you are using a long rope, and you have it threaded through the drings on the tarp, it makes it pretty quick to pull the rope down and slip it into the s hook that you are hooking onto the rub rail.

    Our trailers have rope hooks on them, but since we switch trailers and the average driver is an idiot who manages to break those a lot, I tend to keep s hooks on hand for when i run across a broken rope hook.

    I did 8y off tarping with ropes.
    Uk style tarping.
    Your knot is awfull.

    I tried old "bungee" S hooks on rope, it didn't work out well for storing and reapplying them for the next use. I agree with that.

    There is a knot that is quick and easy,once you know it.
    But how to explain it.........?

    It can be tied with one hand... You just yank on it to undo it and remove the knot.
