Petro in Kingston Springs TN is full. Im in a culde sac next to it that is clearly marked "no parking". I also have no hours left to get 6 miles down the road to flying j....as if there would be any parking there. On top of all that, the stereo decided it didnt want to recognize my thumbdrive full of music anymore. So, figured I would switch to the audiobook on cd. Not happenin either. As a matter of fact, after hanging out "reading cd", it wont even select the cd or usb function anymore, and wont give me my #### cd back.

Something is about to fly out of the window into the cul de sac. Just sayin....

Your lucky. I just spent five days at home with little sleep and being worked to death. I had to come back out here so I could get some rest.

Well this load is definitely making up for the crappy mpg I got on my last trip. Got a load out of Colton weighing 73000 lbs and getting some slamming mpg.
For the day I got 11.3 mpg and total trip is at 10.1. That's from Colton to El Paso. By the time I hit Temple, I'll be very happy with anything above 9.0 for the total trip.

    LOVING THIS TRUCK BIG TIME!!!

I must say, I'm rather impressed with the CB shop at NTS on I-10 in New Mexico (East of Las Cruces).

Got my new antenna mount (double post bird perch) and antenna. I just wish I knew why people angle the things like they're shooting the signal out the tip, because that's not how RF works... it radiates.

Angling the antenna forward effectively has you talking to the ground in front of you and the clouds behind you. That's peachy if you want to talk skip, but not very effective for getting any kind of early warning on upcoming obstacles.

Getting the one legged trailer off of me. Then pickup my loaded one and back on the road.

Got two fuel stops planned for this load. First one is a top off in Stroud, OK for $3.67 a gallon and the second one in Kingman, Az at $3.89 because the Tehachapi Loves is now 4 bucks a gallon.

Tehachapi was like that last week. Was planning on stopping there til I saw the price jump. Just slow poked over to Kingman instead for 16 cents cheaper.

Those with thw antennas leaned way the heck over make me laugh as well. I can understand a 10 or 15 degree lean to get away from the body to maximize range but when they are leaned over and almost touching the hood it kinda makes a person say wtf are you thinking. Oh well to each their own I guess.

I noticed on today's message of trips for next week that they listed a trip that was already paid. I sent them a message saying so, but haven't heard back.

Was it a trip you dropped or swapped? If so, the other driver may have turned it in to be paid next week and since you were associated with that trip, it shows up on your payroll again. You won't get paid a second time though.

No drop or swap. It was live on both sides.
