I might not own the trailer, but I have always tried to think like if I did. And I have always believed to try and get minor issues fixed before they become bugger more expensive issues. Yep. Waiting in a line for a shop to change a bulb is just stupid and expensive. Minimum half hour labor charge for a $2.50 bulb isn't good business for a driver.
If it was a glad hand seal, one dirty trick I seen some do is put a coin between the glad hands to stop all air flow, imagine the feeling of calling a service truck and the mechanic finds a quarter in that connection, pockets it and charges you a few hundred for that. Learn the basics of working on your rig and save some headaches.
So, yeah this is an issue. And it's not the because of uneven ground. Its was loaded and sat over the weekend like this. Good thing I saw this while at the shipper. So, now waiting on a transload. It's staying here while breakdown decides to either send someone from Lufkin or send a driver to pick it up and take back to Ft. Worth.
That is just a lazy person not checking what they are doing, sometimes as easy as moving to flatter ground and trying again, then sometimes just warped doors from getting caught and swinging wildly. Seen many driving down the road like that.
I drove the trailer around the yard and sliding the tandems trying to find a spot that it would close. No matter what spot I was in, they wouldn't close. The shipper is also looking into how come the yard driver that pulled it out over the weekend didn't check that it was properly closed.
