Ok this is my first winter at JCT so i have a question. Do the APUs have tank warmers built in and if not what temp do yall idle to keep from gelling up? When i drove swift we had not APU so i idled anytime it was 40 or below for the heat.

I hope that you are talking about a tire on the other trailer instead of the new one.

Nope. On the new trailer. My previous two trailers were new also.

Not sure how only one tire was bad. Looks like someone had dragged it. But none of the other tires were bad.

    The TK's don't.

I have never idled on any weather conditions. My APU keeps us cozy in 0° weather and 100° weather.

Also, in 14 years driving, I have never used anti gel products and have never had an issue.

Last winter (different company) I picked up a trailer in PA and had to use the 911 anti gel (red bottle) because the fuel was in the process of gelling. The reefer barely started and ran like total crap til the anti gel did it's thing.

If I have southern fuel and head north into the cold, I usually will treat my tanks and the reefer just to be on the safe side.

Wow. Lucky you. I went through antigel last year like it was coffee. And still had four freeze-up experiences requiring a visit to the local TA.

Ah, winter. As it should be. Idling at 11 below: priceless.
