So those who complete their lease, pay the dollar, and continue working for JCT get issued a new truck number? It isn't just a matter of removing a letter at the end and adding the "O" at the beginning.

I guess you should know, Son. You have an Uncle on my side of the family. His name is Clyde. He got famous in Hollywood just like your Mam but long time before her. Prolly what inspired her to go for it. Yeah, Uncle Clyde (my father's brother's sister's son's cousin . . . twice removed - we just called him Uncle Clyde) is a trip and a half!! I'm tellin' you this 'cause you drive a truck. It might help understand something you might have been strugglin' with. Anytime Uncle Clyde went to the left, he shot his arm out real bad. Straight out. Without thinking. After a while it got to be the same for going right. Then it got to be if he HEARD right or left he shot an arm out. D@mnedest thing you ever saw. We used to mess w/ him bad. Couple beers flowin' and: "Uncle Clyde- LEFT TURN" and the cat would go flyin'. "RIGHT TURN" and our little cousin Jake went down. Too funny. So, the point I'm makin' Son - if you be so and Jerry Springer says it's really so; is if you are makin' Left and Rights - watch your arms and where they are goin', and might want to get your Maminal to pony up the quarter. Heard she's got a REAL nice quarter these days, though I imagine you and I would be lookin' at different quarters.
Let the Good Times (and quarters) ROLLLLL!!!!

Rubber checks? You bet. I ain't picky, just as long as some day, some way, I get what's coming to me. I deserve it, ya know. I keep being told that, anyway.
Jerry Springer? WOOOOOOHOOOOO!!! Sorry, I get a bit excited. He helps so many people. I mean, folks come on his show and he tells them who their baby-daddy is, he tells them the folks everybody suspects IS NOT THE FATHER. Folks get so happy, Jerry has to get Steve to throw himself in the middle of everything and calm everyone down. Real nice guy, that Springer fellow.
Oh, and talking about Uncle Clyde. Well, I've known him for years, except I just call him Clyde. We hang out all of the time. I didn't know he was my Uncle. I see the resemblance, though. I just didn't put them 1's together to make a 2. One day, when we got Clyde, excuse me, Uncle Clyde, all liquored up and after he got tired out of throwing LEFTS and RIGHTS, he made a brief comment about a black sheep. The look on his face, you knew he had done said something wrong and he quickly changed the subject. Now, after finally finding you, I believe Uncle Clyde was referring to you. Next time I talk to Clyde, I will have to tell him he is my Uncle, and how I found out. Through a trucking forum, of all places. I can't hardly wait. I bet he will have some stories to tell about you and him in your younger days, and maybe even some that can be told right here on the forums. Kid-friendly, ya know. Don't need to go offending the wimmens or the faint-hearted mens. -
You two aint right but that is funny.

I apologize to all for being 50% responsible for a 100% thread derail.popcorn169 and Aminal Thank this. -
On another note. Got both drops (one in Pauls Valley, OK and Clarksville, AR) done. Got my next load to pick up at Tyson in Rogers, AR heading for a two stopper in Albuquerque, NM on the 2nd. The load plans has the drop time of 23:39 tonight. Which is perfect. I have been running the night train for the past three weeks. But that is ok. I love running at night. Just me, the truck, the open road, and Kevin Rutherford at 11pm, then Jonsey All Night Truck Stop, then Octane (New Hard Rock) on the ol' satellite radio.
I figure I get there at 2300 tonight, the load should be ready. I can roll and recap another 6 hours and that will put me about an hour or so out from ABQ on the morning of the 1st. Should be easy to find parking in the morning considering everyone is going to try and get as many miles done before shutting down early evening/late afternoon for that popular sporting event that has two teams playing against each for those bragging rights and a trophy. Of which, the fans of the winning team will be like yep, "we" did that. "We" made that happen. Which of course isn't true because they weren't there playing the game and just sitting in a truck stop watching it on t.v.
Yep, you guessed it. I'm not a big fan of watching sports on t.v. I find that boring and much rather play said game myself with friends. Actually playing the game, not sitting on a couch pretending to play on a game console.Aminal, 88 Alpha and popcorn169 Thank this. -

Aminal and 88 Alpha you guys can come up with a hell of a good story there. Would make one to think you two actually know each other. LMAO
No need to worry about a derail when this train has wrecked more than a few times. LMAO88 Alpha Thanks this. -

I take it that your not watching the very boring 6 HOUR SUPER BOWL PREGAME SHOW

myself.
