Hi, anybody have a 2016 Freightliner? If so, what's your lease per mile cost and fixed weekly costs? I'm just curious because I was given hope that I might be able to get one at the end of May and I want to contrast and compare. I can only go up on fuel mileage, that's for sure. On this trip from Tulsa to Riverside CA, I'm getting 5.9 average. Grossing 250 on a 1400 mile, 3 day r run isn't fun. Anyways, appreciate any info. Thanks

I can say that's very unusual even on my 2015 I get 6.7 on a similar load, my net is usually 1/3 of any load.

Currently in a 2013 kenworth. The mileage has been bad from day 1. I get 6.5 I'm feeling lucky. Also, no a.p.u and my a.c. only cools at idle when I have my hood open, this after I just spent 1200 dollars on a new compressor and a recharge. It blows ice cold running down the road, but at idle both sleeper and cab blow warm. Would love your numbers.

Its been a while since I posted here. Just wanted to say that freight has picked up and the miles are here. Get'em while the gettin is good. April was a real good month for me with an average of 2900 miles per week turned in. This month is looking to be just as good or better. Got 3000 miles turned in for this payday, and got a 2100 mile load lined up now for as part of the next pay period.

So, grab all the miles you can while they are here. Get your log book set up to be able to run without a 34 and run, run, run. That is what I am doing.

I had a week like that, but chose to put that load in the box on a Thursday instead of Tuesday night. I like to keep paycheck about the same each week. I am in the process of debating weather or not to take a restart after this load. I have been running for almost three weeks on recaps and it is starting to wear on me, but I find it hold to take one when I get back 10hrs each day.

So....I leave the rest area on the east side of Van Horn, TX this morning. I get to the west side of town and a big truck comes barreling down the onramp and passes me on the shoulder. Took out my right side mirror....Never stops. Hit & run.

Just as I'm about to leave the scene after dealing with state trooper, she comes running back up to my truck to inform me they "got him." He admitted to hitting me. What an idiot.

Now I'm in a hotel in El Paso waiting for Freightliner to fix my truck. Good times.

Last load, then trucks going back and I'm jumping in a rental to a new beginning, it's been a great experience and I'd recommend anyone to come to JCT, nice people, good folks to work with I'd say that much, and you'll make decent money, I just got this itch and I gotta have this next experience, but the door is open should I need to return and that's a nice feeling. I'll post my truck return experience just in case someone wants to know, everyone it's been a pleasure, no matter the company we're all truckers🚛💨💨 Stay safe out there, and should you see a New Black Freightliner driver waving that'll be me👋✌
