Sitting at the Pilot in Jamestown, NM for the night. Did 675 miles today from Choctow, OK. Got about 360 miles to the Phoenix yard to drop this trailer at 8 am Saturday and get empty. See what run I get out of there.

Had lunch with MachoCyclone at this Pilot, this place is nice big Pilot like 450 spaces.

    Alanp613 and MachoCyclone Thank this.

    Jarhead,
If I understand it correctly, you are having coolant leak problems? If it is indeed the EGR cooler that is bad, I seriously recommend that you get that fixed ASAP!! And I mean, don't worry about the load or running miles.......tell JCT you are getting your truck fixed. That is your priority....it is not theirs. If you do indeed have an EGR cooler issue, IT WILL mess up your DPF system. Now JCT may make good on the EGR cooler, but if you continue to run that truck and mess up the DPF system, that will most likely be on you because you postponed getting it fixed.

It happened to me and I only ran with a bad EGR for 10 days. It happened to another driver here at JCT and the same thing. Replace DPF system. That will cost you several thousand dollars.
So, just a heads up to save you a serious headache.

Hey diabello, I tried that same thought process with 480k on a 12, I gave up after dallas freightliner held it hostage for a week and didn't fix it. Took the recovery truck I got.

Oklahoma has some crappy fuel..it may be cheap but you pay for it with low mpg. Don't get any better till you get West to like Gallup.

When I had my t600, I usually top of at the loves in Gallup or speedys in AZ and make it to la area and back before I have to fuel again

Oh, trust me. I'm getting her done asap. They know about it, and as a matter of fact, it sat in the shop TWICE with them doing no more than tightening up hoses, even after I told them this was more than likely an EGR issue. I know they didn't want to pay for it, which is why they continued to beat around the bush. Freightliner in Charlotte told me that it would take them at least until next Thursday to even get it in for diagnosis, and if the problem is found to be an EGR Cooler, another week or so to get completed. I can't sit that long. So... I made a deal... Delbert knows how important this is and is well aware of the engine damage that can occur if we continue running this truck like this. So, they have PROMISED me a loaner truck. When I come out of the house on Tuesday, Chad is supposed to have me a load getting as close to the yard as possible, or THROUGH the yard. Going to clean the old girl out and put it in a rental/temp/loaner or whatever you want to call it asap. It will not leave that yard with my fat kiester in the seat until it is fixed. I don't care if they have to have the FL techs in the shop diagnose and send it out to FL of Tulsa. Just have to make them make good on a loaner. I can't sit around for 10 days waiting for equipment to make money.

And trust me, there is zero chance of putting it on me for postponing. I have been after them since I got in this truck almost a month ago to fix this problem. It has been in the Sapulpa shop twice. This is ENTIRELY on them.

Man, Jarhed, I thought you had that issue fixed. I am glad that the only two issues I had were minor and able to fix them myself. Best of luck with that coolant leak.

hey guys, I am not new to trucking but am new to thinking about a lease with JCT, Just a few questions for you guys and yes I have been reading this forum for hours. I live in Denver, CO so how often would I be able to get through Denver for atleast a night to see my wife, also do you find your self doing better then company drivers when it comes to pay. and last of all for right now, how do you guys do medical insurance, I don't see that being covered by JCT. so after all is said, do you make more then company drivers? any info would be appreciated.
