I'd like to add this tidbit to my fellow drivers. Try to fuel exclusively at Loves. They are the cheapest chain out there. You get the fuel discount. And you can get an additional .04 discount if you are a Diamond member. Now before someone tries to tell me that Petro/TA fuel is better quality, let me tell you this. Does fuel purchased from one location over another make a difference? Yes and no. If you buy fuel in any town, (ie. Oklahoma City, Cheyenne, etc.) the fuel in THAT location is identical. No one company is any better than the other. If you buy fuel in California versus say Oklahoma, you will have a different blend. That is due to the fact that each state, county, and city may have their own requirements for additives. That is the difference. So bottom line, fueling up at a Petro/TA in a particular place WILL NOT yield better fuel economy than a Loves in that same town/location. ALL diesel is refined identically. The difference is in the state, county, local additive requirements. Again, the point is simply that you can save $.10-.13/gallon by fueling at a Loves. That adds up pretty quickly. Remember, this is about saving all the money possible.
After I drop my loaded trailer and send in the Macro 13, do I need to send message to dispatch about a new load or will they just send it to me when they have something. Been about 2.5 hrs since sent in the macro and sure planners are there by now.
I know Brian had loads earlier in the week, but I don't know now. Best bet is to send message and ask for something. 1/2 the planners are there now thru noon. Not sure if Brian is one of them though. For future reference, if you're going to drop a load at a yard, try to get them to preplan you before you get there so you're not sitting. That could be a tough one you're in now.
That was easy enough, just had to ask for load. Pickup in Casa Grande tomorrow morning and deliver Dallas on Tuesday afternoon. Looking forward to having the rest of the day off when can bobtail around to walmart and pickup supplies. Only was picking up 1 hr on Monday so with sitting today should have plenty of time. Anyone been to Ross Labs in Casa Grande, AZ? I think it is some kind of drug load, load assignment says high dollar claims if seal is broken.
Its baby formula and adult nutritional drinks. Yes high dollar. There are two locations for Ross/Abbott Labs. One is down the road from the Petro/Loves about 2 miles. The other is the main plant. Pull up your Macro 12 to make sure you go to the right one.
Made it to the Pilot in Boron, Ca. That puts me about 5.5 hrs from Stockton. I get back another 10hrs at midnight central time and leave from here then and should put me at the receiver about 3hrs early. And Diabello thought I wouldn't get past Barstow.
