Swift has put in some new processes since you were there. Every trailer has a sticker, when nexthe pm is due - every 6 months - when the next annual dot is due and it is signed by the mechanic and terminal who did it. They also have mobile mechanics in areas where we have large trailer pools, just doing pms and maintenance. It's rare now to have a trailer with problems. Much less past pm or dot.
Anyone ever been to allen harim in harbeson, de know if they have overnight parking. The deadhead to get there plus loading time is gonna kill my 14 and be out of hours on my 14 by the time im loaded
I've always wanted to ask for one but it will be another 2.5 weeks until I take home time. My laptop also needs replaced which I've been poor and lazy about doing. Plus I never get the correct miles after a relay.
I will do that and make sure my dispatcher gives me the paid miles. It seems like he gives me the total miles when we're talking about my next load.
So with careful and prolonged consideration, I've decided to return to JCT. When I say prolonged, I had been considering my options for probably 3-4 months on where to call home next after it became obvious my last employer was no longer able to meet the promised requirements that had been afforded to me since April of last year. Having a clean driving record and always leaving a company on good terms, is obviously important, and has allowed me to be fairly selective in choosing where to go next. Despite researching nearly every company out there, as well as other lease opportunities, the road back to JCT was the best fit for me at this time. Although some may struggle making money with JCT, while others may not have the brains nor the sense to be making business decisions on their own, I made decent pay and had great support in my 1.5 years I was with JCT prior to leaving last year. My only hesitation at all in returning, is the apparent lack of professionalism in some drivers in performing thorough PTI's on trailers, and getting tires fixed. I realize that taking time to get a tire fixed (or tires), may cost you a few hours...but passing the problem on to the next driver isn't cool, and is definitely something JCT needs to stay on top of. Anyway, I fly out tomorrow afternoon for OK, and orientation starting Monday. Already got all videos watched, and all paperwork completed and submitted. Oh and Steel, I'll take an updated version of the JCT spreadsheet. I still have a copy that you sent me last year hiding in my email saved folder somewhere..lol. I'll PM you my email address. Thanks.
